Advocacy is for every woman in agriculture
Join us for our next AWiA ALL Members Webinar with leadership specialist and RuralScope founder Jo Eady, as we explore what it really means to be an advocate in your everyday life and leadership.
Born and bred on a small dairy farm in Victoria, Jo brings deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by women in ag. She’s spent more than two decades helping over 5,000 people strengthen their leadership, voice and confidence through coaching, mentoring and tailored development programs.
In this interactive session, Jo will guide us through the concept of Leadership for Advocacy, how every action, conversation and decision can influence change. She’ll introduce the PRES framework, a simple but powerful tool for clearly expressing your opinions and ideas with purpose and impact.
Whether you’re leading a team, contributing to a community group, or speaking up on issues that matter, this session will help you feel confident in using your voice to create positive change.
Date: Thursday October 30
Time: 12:30 Sydney time (Lunch and learn session)
Where: Online - zoom link will be sent to all memmbers via email

Connect to Cultivate
Australian Women in Agriculture has been connecting and inspiring generations of women in agriculture for the past 30 years. For the past few years connections with rural women and women engaged within the agriculture industry have been so incredibly difficult.
To help bridge the gap following these hard times, AWiA is introducing Connect to Cultivate - a national event series to help rural women re-connect and cultivate incredible outcomes across the country and beyond. Aligned with the 2022 International Day of Rural Women theme of "cultivating good for all", the events will bring together women in agriculture in each state and territory and share stories of rural women cultivating good in their fields.
To launch this event series, AWiA will host a networking event at The Kurrajong Hotel in Canberra on Monday 5 September, on the eve of the AgriFutures Australia Rural Women's Award. Welcoming women from across the country, AWiA Directors, members and friends, this will be an opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved and what lies ahead. You will hear from some very special speakers (soon to be announced) and hear the plan for AWiA for the future from President, Natalie Sommerville.
Attendees will receive a complimentary drink on arrival and delicious canapes to help soak in the energy of Canberra for these special events. At the checkout, you will be able to add any dietary requirements you may have.
Members - your tickets are FREE! Friends - your tickets are $40!
If you wish to become a Member, please select the "I want to be a Member" ticket option and the AWiA team will send you an invoice for your annual membership.
